Aderon Malvorn's Background (Public Access: RO Owner:seer)

Malvorn (1419 - Current Date)

Malvorn was born in a small rural village. His earliest memories are of his family losing their land to a wheedling town merchant. He remembers his family falling upon dire straits, travelling from place to place until on one fateful day they were assailed by bandits. He was separated from the other members of his family, and lost. He remembers little of these early times, even the name given by his parents is forgotten.

A solemn and quiet warrior found him in the wilds, and brought him back to civilization. Many times during this month long journey, the silent stranger was forced to draw his sword to quell bandits or monsters upon the road. Malvorn does not know this man's name, but he remembers the way he fought, flowing around attacks whilst landing savage cuts on his enemies. To this day he seeks to duplicate the fluid and graceful fighting style he observed during this defining journey.

Upon arriving at Abidir city, west of the cliffs in the unexplored south, the stranger delivered him to the care of the priesthood of Susandar as an orphan. The priests in the temple took him in, and nutured him back to health. They fashioned him a name from the historical annals of the faith, and sought to train him to be a priest of their order. Despite the kindness shown to him, Malvorn largely rejected the religion and the ways of the brotherhood. He refused to study histories or prayers, and spent most of his time practising sword fighting with a crudely carved branch. As soon as he was old enough to fend for himself, he fled from the church.

He spent the next several years working as a mercenary, selling his sword as a bodyguard, escort, and soldier. He was often hired to root out goblins or other creatures for bounties. His military experiences were many, including serving in a light cavalry unit, and as a advance foot-scout.

On the day of Ent the 5th 1442, joining with his long time friends Wolfgang, Sadimar and Dor, Malvorn set off in search of a dragon's treasure. Fighting his way through the remnants of the dragon's death, he found the sword AginstTalorAgnak. Learning to master this weapon has ironically led him back to the path of Susandar. After escaping the Dragon's young hatchlings and remaining cultists Malvorn encountered two new companions: a deserter from the Andarian army Klaad and a traveling wizard in Riverguard named Hawkins.

During the liberation of Riverguard Malvorn swore an oath before Swordkeep Hoden that bound him to the path of Susandar, and granted him some of the powers of a paladin. Malvorn himself was surprised by the words that leapt to his tongue in this moment. The very words he rejected in his youth had remained hidden in his memory, coming out unbidden to invoke the perilous oath. It remains to be seen for how far Malvorn will walk this path.
