Dor "Treeslayer" of the Karaza Kanduros clan. (1374 - current date)
Dor was born a child of a war against the Dwarves old enough that most do not remember it and those who do are not foolish enough. In the year 1376 his parents died to protect him and his people from a division of the Andrasus Kingdom forces rumored to be called the Balder, a force tasked with seeking out and destroying Dwarves and taking beards as trophies. He was only 2 at the time and was hidden inside a dwarven home vault when a search party came looking for survivors.
Dor has no idea where he was born but knows he was raised in secret in Kal Dal, the last remaining dwarven stronghold. The family that raised him have taken the name Goaters but were once of the proud family Arandoral. In Kal Dal dwarves have a strict family size limit and must obtain difficult licenses to have children under the rule of King Emanwil Andrasus and continuing to current date under King Macrodias Andrasus II.
Hidden away and raised for 30 years in secret Dor learned to function umong the lowest of class in Kal Dal, there he learned a trade that would continue to guide his way for the rest of his life. He met a Dwarven smuggler named Dabadi that took him in and taught him the trade. Dor found he was qutie the marksman and went on raids often with his new found friend. Eventually he grew curious about the world outside Kal Dal and the mountains and with Dabadi's help they devised a plan to escape the eyes of Stone Watch and the new king Macrodias Andrasus I in 1406. During the escape Dabadi died and Dor was badly wounded. Dor ventured into a world that was strange and new to him and gained his name treeslayer when he was found by a group of Human loggers furiously attacking a tree and screaming all sorts of dwarven profanities at it. Dor honestly thought that the tree tried to attack him due to his injury making him delirious however, to this day Dor still does not trust any trees.
The humans were uncommonly kind to Dor and the hatreds of the old war seemed to be fading as the humans are a race forever young and short lived. After Dor recovered he stayed with the Humans at their village and learned the ways of humans for another 24 years. Dor existed for a good while without being disturbed by the outside world and enjoyed a level of popularity in the village, however this was not his destiny and during the year 1430 the village was attacked by a group of bandits with military precision. Dor faught to protect the village and killed many bandits but the village suffered great loses and the remaining people blamed the attack on Dor. Dor left reluctantly to continue what he started 24 years ago and decided that he would fight against all those who would oppress the weak and helpless.
5 years later Dor came upon a young human named Malvorn during a mercanary job. Together they were hired to protect a merchant's son and were set upon by goblins. Out of the guards Malvorn and Dor were the only ones who remained and fought while the other hirelings fled. After defeating the goblins they found a traveler from the sands who joined them named Sadimar. For many years the group traveled together and eventually met a wolf-child Wolfgang who joined them in their adventures.
Their journey continues to this day.
