Zergom, the city of prayers.

Zergom was one of the major city states that was created during the [The Religon War|Religous Wars]. After the war the religous leaders there decided to make it a haven for all orginized religons and was able to accomplish this by working with the [Andrasus Kings|current Adrasus King] at the time, Andrasus the Great. The King allowed for Zergom to exist but in return no religon would ever hold any power within the kingdom and all temples outside of Zergom were to be abolished. Zergom is still under the rule of the King and must pay heavy taxes for its continued existance. To compensate for this Zergom imposes heavy taxes on its citzens and all who enter the city.

Zergom is a dangerous city, even though it is the home to all remaining religon. By some it is known as the City of Thieves or the Outcast hideout. Those who seek to run from the laws of the kingdom often go to Zergom to hide away in its streets, hoping to get lost in the crowds. Unfortuanetly many do not survive the [Zergom Sentinels] or the cutthroat population that is in a state of constant poverty.

Other than taking offerings and taxes Zergom makes much of its money from religous services. These services are often employed outside the city as well and include rites for the dead and blessing of a newborn. Evenso outside of Zergom not much is actually known of the Gods that are housed there and most simply worship the greater powers in an abstract sense.

Only recently has any temples been allowed to be set up in Andaria, the first of which in 441 years. In the year 1441 King and current ruler [Macrodias Andrasus II] converted over to the Religon of [Susandar], which caused a great deal of controversy and even animosity from his nobles. During that year he had a temple built in [Riverguard] and stated "If light and justice can be found and darkness destroyed in these troubled times, there is no one I trust to wield the sword more than Susandar".

Zergom has a great deal of power as a city, containing what is known as the 4 pillars of Heaven. These pillars were created during the religous wars by the rulers of Zergom and are said to be able to create powerful walls of light to protect the city. Each pillar rises into the sky 500 feet, towering far above the city.

In the center of Zergom rests the Holy Zigurat. This is a communal temple for all orginized religons as well as the home for all of the cities Sentinels and Leaders.
