The Ikalos are strange humanoid creatures. They average the same height as humans though they have a very slight build. Ikalos have rubbery purplish flesh that glistens with slime. Their head looks like a four-tentacled octopus with a set of bloated white eyes. Ikalos are known for having superior intellects and crafty minds. Most are self-centered and care little for the plight of others. An Ikalos has an average life span of 60 years though some have lived to around 80. They are highly magic resistant, some older ones being virtually immune to direct magical effects.
Ikalos do not need to eat often, once a month or so, though they enjoy to dine whenever possible. An ikalos' diet consists of brains, peferably extracted from a still living creature. The ikalos use their tentacles to latch onto a victims head while it is stunned or otherwise incapacitated and then extracts the brains.
Ikalos do not have a spoken language of their own, atleast not one that anyone knows about; They prefer to speak telepathically to one another. However they are capable of communicating with the other intelligent races normally.
