Questions for DM

How does one rise in station amongst the Lords and Nobility of Andaria? There are a number of ways to rise in station, a lot of it having to do with wealth and reputation. So called "merchant lords" rise by controling the various resources of the world, "warrior lords" make a name for themselves through military campaign. Mostly you will require the patronage of those in positions higher than your own and the ability to play the political game, one way or another, to rise up higher. If a person is raised to lordship they are considered in the most entry levels of that position. To many established lords you are barely better than a basic soldier and they feel you have not really earned anything. Many also believe that the lower classes can never be considered nobility, a notion that requires a person to convince them otherwise.

When one character becomes a Lord, can that lord promote family members to nobility, or is that honor already conferred (to immediate family?) If a person becomes a lord their children and spouse will also be given that rank. His mother, father, brothers and so on do not recieve the benefit even if they are connected to his name. A lord has the ability to structure his land and business accordingly and can, in many cases, try to create his own "court" giving titles and names to anyone he chooses. However, the power of the lord is the only thing that will really give these titles any meaning and to give them out too freely or to the "wrong" people will only weaken the lords political position further.

How does one purchase land in Andaria? Land is normally only for sale among the upper classes, and even then only the most wealthy can afford to do such deals. In some rare cases, like the way your party purchased land, property will be sold along with a lowly lordship. Currently in Andaria many lords have been made since the Dragon Lord has been giving out lots of money to create potato lords and farmer courts. To purchase any given piece of land talk to anyone related to the master of coin Evemil or the Master of Title Agonought in the capital city. Most of the Land is already owned in Andaria, though it may be possible to extend your current property for the right ammount of money.

What are the top market demand products in Andaria? Andaria deals in a number of goods, some of the most popular are:

Food: Cheese(Andras, Kal Dal), Stunty Cow (Hilltop), Farlasian Spice (Imported into East Watch from across the great waters), Pepper (Ambor), Holy Brew (Zergom, Kal Dal), Whiskey (Kal Dal), Folk'shrooms (Use to be road guard), Selvili vine (Used in many foods and alchemical potions as a spice found in the unexplored south and sometimes near Andras - rare and highly valued), Bull Fish (East Watch), Great Lobster (East Watch), Corgos Octopus (East watch, also used for its ink).

Ore: Silver (Kal Dal/Stone Watch, North Watch East Tower), Gold (Dragon horde... and North Watch), Copper (Hilltop), Iron(Ardonot Fortress), Star Metal/Heaven ore/Adamantium (A large quantity was originaly brought with those who rode the momonons but none has been found since), Mithril (Only the Dwarves knew where the veins of mithril were, the last stores of it are said to be in Arvandigar and in a very small supply)

Wood: Furdorsi wood (Found near Harag's crossraod, kings property, forest use to be x3 its current size), Maple, pine, oak, cedar etc... (Mormog)

What are the scarcest products in Andaria? Known ones are: Mithril, Star Metal, Selvili Vine.

What are the surplus items in Andaria? Wheat, corn, wool, cotton, to name a few.

Can we have a list of the mage guilds added to the wiki? Archmage Battlemage Seekers Merchants Dragon Cultists? Sure Guilds

Can one go further than fleshbinding a book, for example, binding a soul? idea: an 'experimental' halfling that is practically crippled or in such physical agony that it might be willing to trade its existence to become a sentient spellbook. What might be the properties of a sentient book? I imagine a 'stephen hawking' halfling, so paralyzed by existence but incredibly insightful. Perhaps existence as a mage's spellbook might be beneficial to such a creature, and could even one day grant it independent, mobile physical form (a tome-haemonculus, perhaps). It is certainly possible to rip a soul from a body and perform all sorts of experiements on it. But to do so you will either have to learn the secrets of the Devils or somehow pry it from the dusty fingers of the college.

What is the history of the 'stunties' in general? have they ever shown magical aptitude, either magical or divine? are they especially lucky, or long lived? do they have a powerful life force? The Halflings are historically considered one of the first races and the original occupants of Andaria. They appear to be long lived and like elves appear child like throughout life except for the last 100 or so years, where some do grow beards and such. They are peaceful in nature and tend to shy away from danger. They have never been tested nor shown any capability for magic. Life force is another topic for the necromancers/devils.
