Aderon Hugh MacDuff (Public Access: RW Owner:aderon)

The Song of Hugh MacDuff:

Once when I was a young lad

Under the bright Red moon

I struck a vein of silver

And started my own saloon

The ale was smooth and easy,

The customers were rough

Then one day came a gnomish man

By the name of Hugh MacDuff

Some Dwarven Pride got in my eye and blinded me that day

I should’ve known that little gnome was trouble and dismay

He sat and drank the whiskey

He sang and drank the ale

While most dwarves flushed with pleasure

His face remained quite pale

He stood up on the barstool

And waved so all could see

He was issuing a challenge,

He was lookin straight at me

Some Dwarven Pride got in my eye and blinded me that day

I should’ve known that little gnome was trouble and dismay

He said I bet I can out-drink ye

I’ll bet ye all I own

But if I can out-drink ye

I take your house and home!

So we lined up all the lager

Eighteen pints for both

A shot for every sixth one

Thus our bets were made an oath

Some Dwarven Pride got in my eye and blinded me that day

I should’ve known that little gnome was trouble and dismay

We started out quite quickly

Cheers went all around

I thought I had ‘im finished

But then I hit the ground

I woke with quite a startle

And realized with a scare:

That gnome sure did outdrink me

He beat me fair and square.

I looked out at the signing

It was fresh and new

It read “this is MacDuff’s tavern”

A former dwarf saloon!
