Aquiring Land:
To purchase land a contract must be made between a noble and the Master of Coin or the Master of Titles or a representitive thereof give agency to complete such contracts.
The standard price of land is as follows, although the market price of land will be negotiated at the time of the contract.
One acre of land (43560 square feet) will be bought at a negotiatable standard price of 2 golden Andrasus. The purchase of land can not be paid in trade goods such as precious stones, food goods or animals of any kind. Land can be purchased with coin and notes of payment that are recognized by the current ruler and the Master of Coin.
All land will be subjected to a royal tax as well as a land ownership tax and may include aditional taxes from other sources.
Taxes: The standard royal tax of land can be changed at any given time. The current royal tax of land as of the date Ankheg 23rd, 1442 Year of our lord Macrodias the Peaceful, is 2 silver Andrasus per acre of land. The royal tax can be collected at any point in the year by the Master of Coin.
The land tax is determined by a council held each year on the 15th of Dwarf open to all land owning Andarians in good standing with the King and country. As of the 1442 year of our lord Marcrodias the Peaceful, the land tax stands at 2 silver Andrasus per acre of land. The land can be collected at any point in the year by the Master of Coin.
Furthermore as a vassal of Field Marshal Magnarmian, the Dragon Lord and commander of the Dragon Legion you will be subjected to an additional tax of 300 golden Andrasus to be payed to the Master of Coin on each year by the last day of Death. The first payment should be recieved by the 30th day of Death, 1442. If this payment is not fufilled an aditional 50% of the inital payment will be due by Dwarf the 5th. If this late payment is not fufilled the owner of the land will not be able to join any council for the rest of the year, furthermore the Master of Coin or Master of Titles has the right to seize the land for the kingdom. Should the land not be given peacefully it will be taken by force, these are the words and law of our King Marcrodias Andrasus the second of his line. If the land must be taken by military action, the owner and vassals will be branded outlaws and enemies of Andaria.
Buildings Laws: The lord of the land is permited to build or have upon his property a structure he designates as his home. This structure may have up to 15 foot walls and up to four towers no taller than 25 feet. Should the lord feel that this is insufficent he may petition the Master of Coin, Master of Titles or his leige lord to allow him to fortify his land.
Fortification: A fortified area must contain in it atleast one hundred and thirty soldiers payed from the land owners own funds. This fortified position must be capable and willing to support up to 15000 soldiers for a period of two weeks. To begin construction the owner must pay a price of 120 golden Andrasus to the Master of Coin or the Master of Titles, furthermore the owners leige lord may require additional payment.
The fortification has no size, wall height or tower limit.
The lord of any given land may build upon it any other structure within the bounds of the law. He may not, however, build upon land not owned, this land is the kings by default, or land owned by another lord, unless he is given explicit permission and documetation can be provided.
