Aderon • The Religon War (Public Access: RW Owner:aderon)
From what is known as the year 0-500, an unrecored period of history, the various factions of religon each held a piece of Andaria. Each God had a city state that would enforce its teachings and often have conflicts between each other. In the year 500 a battle happened that not much is known about, forces on all sides were slaughtered and this sparked a call for unity. A meeting was held for all religous leaders to decide who would have final say over all, they could not come to an agreement and soon war broke out. Over a span of 90 years the religons wared with each other. In the year 590 the first wizards began to appear, many say from foreign lands, and fought to protect the people of Andaria from a war many wanted no part in.
During the begining of the war the Andarian Knights were fighting some unkown terror that decended from the north. In the year 620 the war was no longer about the various religons fighting each other, the sides shifted and it became a battle between the orders of Religon and the Wizards along with what religous followers called the "unfaithful".
The dwarves, who held much land at the time decided to take sides with the Religous order, they saw gain in not only defending their faith but reclaiming lost land. The Andarian Knights were just finishing their campaign and were worn in number but also decided to side with the Order.
The Wizards were backed by the majority of the common folk and from them rose a line of great warriors that would one day be king. The Andrasus line was established during this war and the Wizards rose to power.
Eventually the Andarian Knights and the Order were defeated by a singled decisive battle in the year 1000 by Andrasus the Great.
After the war, religon was almost erased, except for the one city of Zergom. The Andarian knights were confined to a new city, Racoden, and were given pardons for the service they performed for the realm prior to the war. The Dwarves on the other hand were not so lucky and for the next 391 years they were sought out and killed without mercy. After the death of Kabadal Andrasus, the dwarf slayer, Emanwil Andrasus put an end to dwarf hunting and allowed them to return to their last remaining stronghold Kal Dal. The Dwarves there, even to this date, are heavily regulated but acceptance of dwarves in daily life has become more prevelant. Many fear that though the humans begin to forget about the crimes commited against the dwarves the long lived people of stone still remember and will one day take revenge for almost 400 years of genocide.
